PrayerSeed ("we", "us", "our") is operated by Olayemi Michael Awoeyo, based in the United Kingdom. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the PrayerSeed mobile application (the "App"), how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the App, you agree to this policy.
1. Who uses PrayerSeed
PrayerSeed is designed for parents and guardians (adults) to create prayers and stories for their children. The App is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly allow children to create their own accounts. Any information about a child is entered by a parent or guardian.
2. Information we collect
Account information
When you create an account we collect your name and email address. Authentication is handled by our provider, Clerk. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive the name and email address associated with that account (you may choose to hide your email via Apple's private relay).
Information about your children
To personalise prayers and stories, you may provide, for each child: first name, date of birth, gender, an optional profile photo, and interests or aspirations you choose to add. You provide this information voluntarily and are responsible for having the authority to do so.
Content you create
We store the prayers and stories generated in the App, along with any notes, favourites or answered-prayer records you save.
Subscription information
Purchases and subscription status are processed by Apple and Google and managed through RevenueCat. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.
Device & notification data
If you enable notifications, we store a device push token so we can send reminders. We may process limited technical information (such as device type and app version) to operate and improve the App.
3. How we use your information
- To generate personalised prayers and bedtime stories for your children;
- To provide, maintain and secure the App and your account;
- To manage your subscription, trial and premium features;
- To send prayer and story reminders you have enabled;
- To respond to support requests;
- To comply with legal obligations.
4. AI-generated content
Prayers and stories are created using OpenAI's API. To generate content, we send the relevant details you provided (such as a child's first name, age and chosen theme) to OpenAI. Under OpenAI's API terms, this data is not used to train their models. We do not sell this information.
5. Third-party services we use
We share information only with service providers that help us operate the App, and only as needed:
- Clerk — account creation and authentication;
- OpenAI — generating prayers and stories;
- RevenueCat, Apple, Google — subscriptions and payments;
- Cloudflare — storage of profile photos and audio;
- Railway — secure hosting of our servers and database.
We do not sell your personal information or your children's information to anyone.
6. Data retention & deletion
We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can permanently delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account in the App. This removes your account, your children's profiles, and all associated prayers and stories from our systems. You can also export your data from Settings → Export My Data.
7. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and secured cloud infrastructure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work hard to protect your family's data.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the UK/EU GDPR or California's CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise many of these directly in the App, or contact us using the details below.
9. International transfers
We are based in the United Kingdom and use service providers that may process data in other countries, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
10. Children's privacy
Because children's information is entered by a parent or guardian, we rely on you to provide it lawfully. If you believe a child has created an account without parental consent, please contact us and we will delete the account.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and change the "Last updated" date above.
